What a day!

Today started out very early this morning when Emerson woke up at 5:30 talking up a storm. (It was so cute though!) Which is very unheard of because she always wakes up at 7:30 and I really like that time much better! Adam got up and fed her and went back to sleep for a little while. Then we all had to get up and get ready for Emersons 4 month check up. She weighed 13 lbs and 23 1/2 inches long! Adam and I had a bet on what she weighed ,we were both wrong. Dr. Wiley said she can start cereal and then in a couple days start on baby food. Yay! The fun and the mess begins. After the doctor we went to target and got all the supplies we need to start all the excitement and then to Kids Villiage to pick up some Easter basket stuffers. Finaly, we got home and I was so excited to start with the cereal, but Emerson had a different idea. She was so hungry and tired that she didn't want any part but I tried anyway! I gave her a couple bites and she cried so I just gave her a bottle and put her down for a nap. I will try again in the morning when she is much happier.

Saturday

Emerson had a sleepover at her Gammy's last night. She cried a bit because she is so attached to me. It gave Adam and I a chance to go out to eat. We went to the Beehive Steakhouse. Really great place. I made Adam get the Prime Rib special because I wanted a taste. Turns out my steak was much better!! I felt just a little bad but just a little! After dinner I had to go back over to my moms because we forgot to pack the sound machine that Emerson sleeps with and it was perfect timing, because she was just going to sleep. I had some much needed sleep and I woke up refreshed this morning! Adam and I went to pick our little girl up and she was all smiles and happy to see us. We are going to try to do some yard work today but the weather may deter that. We will have to see what the rest of the day turns out like.
